LSC-Kingwood Invites Community to First History Conference
History teachers, professors and people interested in the subject are invited to Lone Star College-Kingwood’s first History Day Conference on June 19 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Designed to be interactive and thought provoking, this conference is for community members interested in the examination of succession, the Civil War and Reconstruction. Participants will also receive resources needed for instruction.
Dancers Invited to Intensive Camp
Intermediate and advanced dancers are invited to register for the first Summer Dance Intensive Program hosted by LSC-Kingwood and Rednerrus Feil Dance Company. The intensive program will take place June 7-9. Registration is open to dancers age 16 and older who wish to gain college or professional experience. Participants will learn a highly concentrated curriculum with professional expertise training and technique from LSC-Kingwood faculty, RFDC directors, and guest artists.
Community Invited to "Press: O.N." Exhibit
Lone Star College-Kingwood’s Fine Arts Gallery will feature three guest artists’ work at its “Press: O.N.” exhibit. The pieces will be on display May 22-June 17 and the community is invited to the receptions on May 31 at 6 p.m. and June 5 at 12:30 p.m. This showcase will highlight work from Dean Dass, with the University of Virginia; Lari Gibbons, with the University of North Texas and Sandra C. Fernandez, with the University of Texas at Austin.

Community Invited to Kingwood Kabaret
Toe-tapping performances and quality entertainment are sure to draw a big crowd to Lone Star College-Kingwood’s fourth Kingwood Kabaret May 31-June 1. A scholarship fundraiser for the college’s Theatre Department, the Kingwood Kabaret is an intimate evening of entertainment that will feature many Jazz standards and Broadway show tunes presented in a cabaret setting.

Register for Mini-Term, Summer 2013 Courses
Current and potential students can register online for May mini-term and summer 2013 classes at Lone Star College-Kingwood and LSC-Atascocita Center starting March 6. The May mini-term is from May 13-31. Summer I term begins June 3 and ends July 9 and Summer II term is from July 11 through Aug. 18. Registration for the mini-term and both summer terms will continue through the first day that the class meets.
